Uokura Restaurant in Golden

Went for the all-you-can-eat. Large nigiri and rolls. For the mediocre taste, lack of sashimi in the all-you-can-eat option, mixing up my appetizer order, and forgetting one appetizer, am in a good mood so, docking only 2 stars. Suggestion: add a sashimi option and charge more.

If you're looking for high quality sushi or a date night, this probably isn't the place. If you're looking for relativity affordable sushi on the west side of town this will do. The sushi isn't bad, it's definitely acceptable and I've been here more than once. The prices are reasonable which makes it worth coming back. The building is a bit shabby and the interior doesn't feel particularly clean which is why I wouldn't suggest bringing a date here. They're usually accommodating with kids but there is no kids menu.

Love it! We've been here at least 3 times whenever we're visiting from Arkansas. Consistently good and great value for the price. Sorry, we forgot to take a picture before we started eating.

Really good sushi! The all you can eat lunch (pictured) is fantastic if you have a long lunch where you can take the time to relax and eat. All you can eat places tend to sketch me out, especially if it's something like sushi, but this place was very fresh and tasty! The Golden roll was my favorite!

The sushi was good but their timing is off. Half our group got warm entrees which came out a while before our sushi.

This is one of my favorite local sushi spots. I usually get the all you can eat lunch. It has a good selection of nigiri, rolls, and appetizers. The fish is fresh, the rice is good, and the sides and appetizers are very good too. I especially like the gyoza.

Phenomenal ramen, very good sushi, and the all you can eat deal is the best deal in town for quality sushi and appetizers

I assume all the other reviews were for all you can eat sushi. Decent value for that but otherwise very mediocre.

The food was very good and filling

Don’t let the all you can eat verbiage scare you off. Went here for lunch and it was very very good. I didn’t do the all you can eat option because they had done specials I couldn’t pass up. I rarely give 5 stars, but the food and service were very good and I will be back. Ideally this would be a 4.5 star as I haven’t been for dinner or a second time to confirm how good it is. Outside a bit drab, but inside is cozy. Give it a shot.

Best sushi in the Denver area! Sushi katsu used to be my spot until I moved to the westside of Denver. Haven't looked back since! Wish they offered eel as a nigiri option for the all you can eat menu but everything they do offer is of amazing quality!

What a lovely find. Right near NREL, seated and served quickly. The Ramen was fairly true to original. Didn't have the sushi, but it looked great.

They have very good sushi and super friendly staff, even for a busy night! Definitely the best sushi in the Golden area.

Worst service I have ever had anywhere. Was disrespected by the host and walked out immediately. Never had been here before and will never be back

The menu and service were beyond our expectations. I truly liked the atmosphere of this restaurant. Superb restaurant to take my family out for lunch.

Really enjoyed this restaurant! The server was quite timely and friendly. I ordered a gyoza and this sushi and sashimi combo. Do not regret! Sushi is really delicious and fresh, and the tuna is very tender and good as well. I had a great time eating here. The atmosphere is very homely, although though it can be a little hard to find at times. Definitely recommend coming here for real deal sushi. For the finishing I requested a michi ice cream, which is nicely plated and melts in your mouth. Wonderful!

Takeout Tonkatsu Ramen with 3 Gyoza is delicious and a good value. 3 pieces of pork, 2 fish cake slices, 2 halves of a tea/soy egg, small bok choy.

If you are interested in a Japanese culinary experience of off the tourist tract this is the place. You pay for food and labor and not much rent. We arrive before opening to insure our place. We order boats and boats of delicious fish and rolls. And at a great price.

I have dined here before and it's gets better Everytime. Great and friendly service great place to bring the family.

My favorite all you can eat sushi place in Colorado! EXCELLENT fish to rice ratio and I'm just obsessed with the salmon rolls there. Definitely recommend it

Fantastic sushi. Fresh as you an get near the waters they catch the seafood. Fresh! Delicious! Best I have had in Colorado. A level above all others.

Worst service ever. The hostess is incredibly rude from first impression and made me feel uncomfortable throughout my entire meal. The entire time I ate, she kept watch over me like a hawk because I didn't order the all you can eat sushi like everyone else at my table. I traded one piece of my sushi for one piece of my friend's sushi and sure enough the hostess stormed over and yelled at me. When the bill arrived, she charged me for my original order plus the all you can eat sushi. Kinda seemed like she treated us this way because we were all "White" americans at the table. Wondering if we would have been treated the same way if we were Japanese americans. We will not be returning.

Best sushi I've ever had! Lol no really their sushi is great and they have a nice collection. They also have all you can eat lunch and dinner options. The place is fairly clean and pleasant. Quick and friendly service. They're not open continuously so check their lunch and dinner hours before you go!

Poor quality food. I couldn’t even eat it.

My husband and I went for our anniversary and loved everything about it! Such delicious food and with large portions at a great price. We enjoyed it so much we even ordered to go after our meal to enjoy more the next day! I highly recommend and it will be our go to for sushi from now on.

Wonderful atmosphere, fantastic food, welcoming and attentive staff.This is the first time I've eaten sushi and not needed to drown it in soy sauce. Everything was expertly made and perfectly flavored. I got to speak to the sushi chefs and they said they experiment with new combinations all the time and love to introduce new menu items.I will be back!

This Sushi is not........Good.We stopped in before going to a fight at Jefferson County Fairgrounds because I was craving sushi.The rolls were very mushy and just didn't look great. Golden isn't well known for their sushi so I guess I should have known better.

We really enjoyed trying all sorts of delicious sushi! The golden roll was a favorite, as well as the spicy tuna roll. Delicious salmon nigiri as well! Great value for all you can eat sushi!
